About Bottle & Bib

New parents are sold a very long list of things, most of which are used briefly or never. Feeding gear is the clearest example: a registry can run to dozens of items where a handful would do. The decisions that genuinely matter are narrow -- material safety, whether parts can be cleaned properly, and whether a product meets the relevant safety standard -- and they are buried under a great deal of marketing about convenience.

Bottle & Bib is being built to shorten the list. The plan is to say clearly what is worth buying, what can wait until a need appears, and what is not worth buying at all. Safety standard compliance will be treated as a pass or fail rather than a bullet point. Cleaning will get real attention, because a bottle with a seal that cannot be reached is a genuine problem rather than an inconvenience.

Bottle & Bib will earn affiliate commission when readers buy through its links, paid by the retailer. Telling parents to buy less is directly against the site's own commercial interest, which is exactly why the rule is written down: recommendations are based on need and safety, never on what pays.
