About Lid & Liner
Everyday kitchen equipment gets the least attention and the most use. Cookware is sold on coating names and set size, when what decides performance is base construction and how evenly a pan heats. Non-stick coatings have a service life that is rarely stated. Food storage is sold on volume with no reference to whether the seal survives a dishwasher or the plastic is suitable for hot contents.
Lid & Liner is being built to cover the basics properly. The plan is to judge pans on base construction and heat distribution rather than on coating marketing, to state expected coating life and how to extend it, and to check storage containers for seal durability and material safety at temperature. Sets will be assessed piece by piece, because most contain two pans that get used and three that do not.
Lid & Liner will earn affiliate commission when a reader buys through one of its links, paid by the retailer at no extra cost. Recommending three good pans instead of a fourteen-piece set earns less, and the site will keep doing it. No manufacturer will be able to buy a ranking or see a verdict in advance.
